Pipe Lining Services

There are numerous ways to address a pipe issue within the home. Typically, you can try to patch the crack or break so that it no longer leaks, or you can replace a section of pipe or the entire pipe. These are often effective. But there is another option, one used specifically for your drain and sewer system: pipe lining. Often associated with trenchless technology, pipe lining uses incredibly hard but flexible tubing to give your drainpipe or sewer line a new life.

What are the benefits of pipe lining?

  • Prevents root intrusion
  • Stops leaking pipes
  • Increases water flow
  • No digging or destruction required

We specialize in pipe lining services throughout the Elgin area. If you’re having any issues with your drain and sewer system, then don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

How Pipe Lining Works

While we are not a trenchless technology expert, we do offer pipe lining services for our customers in the area. You may be wondering how this technology actually works.

First of all, it is typically used in drain and sewer lines to resolve a certain issue with the pipe. You may have a crack that is causing sewage to leach out of the drain, or the pipe may have deteriorated to such an extent that you risk losing the integrity of this all–important part of your drain and sewer system.

The pipe liner itself is a resin–based flexible tube that is installed into the pipe, often at a cleanout point or basement drain. The pipe liner can be either cured by air or by hot water circulating through the pipe itself. Once cured, the pipe liner is rock–hard, corrosion–resistant and waterproof.

Pipe lining is a great way to clear up an issue with your home’s drain system, without having to replace the pipe entirely

Signs that You Might Need Pipe Lining

How do you know that you need pipe lining in the first place? That can be a tricky question to answer, unless there is a major issue that has shut down the use of your plumbing system entirely.

The best way to check up on the status of your drainpipes or sewer line is by having theminspected via video camera. During this process, we insert a very small camera attached to a flexible tube into the pipe so that we can have a first–hand look at what’s going on.

One of the most common reasons to consider professional pipe lining is to patch up a relatively minor issue with the pipe’s integrity, such as corrosion caused by years of contact with wastewater. Another reason to line your pipes is to prevent a crack or tree root penetration from getting any worse.

This waterproof seal is an ideal option for those not yet ready to replace the entire pipe. Still not sure if you need pipe lining services? Give us a call or send us a message and ourprofessional plumberswill help you make the right decision for you and your home.

They were wonderful. We would recommend them to anyone. Both visits were very efficient and I was amazed how fast they were able to get here, and it was completely at my convenience.
